TravelOK Launches Route 66 Events Website

The countdown to one of America’s most iconic milestones is underway. Route 66 will celebrate its 100th birthday in 2026, and Oklahoma, home to the longest drivable stretch of the historic highway, is gearing up for a year-long celebration.

To support promotional efforts across the state, TravelOK.com, in collaboration with the Oklahoma Centennial Commission, has launched the state’s official Route 66 Centennial website. The site will feature Route 66 attractions as well as events held during the centennial year.

From car shows and festivals to exhibits and community gatherings, Oklahomans are encouraged to take part in this once-in-a-century celebration. Organizers of Route 66-related events planned for 2026 are invited to submit their event details for inclusion on the official site.

The Route 66 Centennial Commission is now accepting submissions for official Route 66 Centennial Events. Event organizers can visit the new website and complete a short submission form to have their events reviewed and added to the official calendar.
