Oklahoma Tourism & Recreation Department Seeking Volunteers for Oklahoma Trails Advisory Board

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — The Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department (OTRD) is seeking qualified volunteers to serve on the Oklahoma Trails Advisory Board (OTAB).

The Oklahoma Trails Advisory Board plays a critical role in supporting and enhancing trail development across the state. Board members are responsible for:

Evaluating, scoring, and prioritizing project applications submitted to OTRD for the Recreational Trails Program and recommending projects for funding
Developing project evaluation and selection criteria
Providing a forum to discuss statewide trail user issues
Representing all trail interests and acting on behalf of trail users to help coordinate programs and policies related to trails
OTRD is currently seeking applicants to fill vacancies representing the following trail user interests:

Accessibility
Environmental/Conservation
Four-wheel drive
Bicycle
Applicants must be actively involved in a trail-user group related to the position they wish to represent. Members must also be available to attend two (2) board meetings annually.
