Bartlesville Symphony 2017-2018 Young Artist Competition Now Open

The Bartlesville Symphony Orchestra is now accepting applications for the 2017-2018 Young Artist Competition.  Now in it’s 36th year, the competition awards one vocalist and one instrumentalist for music excellence and performance.  The competition provides young musicians the opportunity for exposure within the community through performance as a soloist at a BSO concert.  Additionally, a $500 cash prize will be awarded to each of the winners. Sixteen local artists, members of Bartlesville Art Association, are exhibiting over sixty pieces at the Lyon Gallery at the Community Center through November. The exhibit includes oil, watercolor, pastel, acrylics, graphite, charcoal, mixed media and jewelry.
