The Great Bartles Mustache and Beard Showdown at Freedom Fest

The Bartlesville Area History Museum is excited to announce in honor of America’s 250th birthday, the Bartlesville Area History Museum is bringing back one of the town’s most delightfully unusual traditions — a mustache and beard contest inspired by the legendary whiskers of town founder Jacob Bartles. On July 4th at Freedom Fest, locals and visitors alike are invited to compete in the Great Bartles Mustache Showdown, Categories including:

The “Jacob Bartles” – Best Historical Mustache,

The Frontier Whiskers – Best Beard, and

The Prairie Curl – Best Styled Mustache.

Registration is free at the BAHM tent and starts at 6: 15 p.m. Contestants will be judged on creativity, style, and sheer frontier spirit!
