The Bartlesville Police Department will be hosting their annual Spring block party and BBQ Cookoff, on April 20th from 11 am to 3 pm. Various events will be held at the 100 block of Johnstone & Dewey as well as the Center Parking lot and Unity Square.
Events will include all kinds of fun and activities for the kids including petting zoo, inflatables, free hamburgers and hot dogs, emergency vehicles and classic cars.
The BBQ Cook Off is 7:30am to 5pm. Entry fee is $20. A five judge panel will decide the winners in the ribs, chicken and cook's choice divisions. This is a non-sanctioned "backyard competition." No pre-marinated or pre-cooked meats will be allowed. Prizes will be awared for 1st-3rd place for ribs, chicken, and cook's choice. Grand Champion Overall & Reserve Grand Champion.
