Woolaroc looking to grow current docent base

Posted: October 31, 2018

Having a strong volunteer/docent program at Woolaroc is an important part of the day to day operations. Having qualified volunteers staffing the welcome desk at the Museum, Lodge, Bunkhouse and Heritage Center allows the Woolaroc staff to focus on many other issues. In order to better serve their guests and continue to provide a quality guest experience Woolaroc is looking to grow their current docent base.

What does being a docent at Woolaroc involve?

* Docents will participate in a one-day training class that will provide an overview of the on campus facilities.

* Docents will be expected to volunteer a minimum of one day per month or the equivalent of 12 days a year.

* Lunch will always be provided.

* Woolaroc "secrets" will always be provided.

* Continuing education on the collections and exhibits will be ongoing.

If you have an interest in volunteering at Woolaroc or if you know of anyone that would be a good fit, please call 918-336-0307 ext. 15 or Linda Stone 918-336-0307 ext. 32.
