Price Tower, message from Executive Director Rick Loyd

Posted: April 01, 2020

Greetings from Price Tower. As everyone is aware, we are currently in an unprecedented time, which has directly impacted our operations. I would like to inform you, our donors, guests and clients of our recent changes:

      • The Inn at Price Tower - We have made the heartbreaking decision to temporarily close our hotel. This is the best decision for the health and wellness of our guests, our employees and the community. This important step will allow us to do what we can to help in the slowing of COVID-19.
      • The Art Gallery and Art Education programs – The recent exhibition of Bruce Goff and Herb Greene just completed, and we have now closed the gallery and gift shop. The scheduled Bartlesville Art Association Art Show has been cancelled, but we continue to be hopeful we can open for the John Hammer exhibit in mid-May.
      • Copper Restaurant + Bar – Our Wright Chef Jordan has launched his new menu, a take-out and delivery menu, as our dining rooms and bar have been closed to guests. We have seen exciting momentum in guests ordering for takeout. What a great way to enjoy a great meal, but continue to social distance and help our community. To see our menu, heck out the Copper Restaurant + Bar Menu button at the bottom of this post. During this difficult time in the history of Price Tower, please consider:
        • Becoming a member or upgrading your existing membership, or
        • Making a tax-deductible donation.

With these necessary adjustments to the overall traffic at Price Tower, it has made the building echo for the time when guests are once again laughing and celebrating art and all that we offer. Thank you for being a tremendous part of our mission, for sharing your love of architecture with us, and helping to preserve this “tree that escaped the crowded forest”. Little did Frank Lloyd Wright know when he designed this work of art that escaping the forest would mean Price Tower would be standing tall, but silent as we all conquer this world health crisis. We will continue to stay in touch via our website and social media channels to keep you informed as we go through these trying times. Take care, be healthy, and call someone and wish them a happy day.

Rick Loyd, and the entire Price Tower team.
