Historic Cherokee Avenue Walking Tour

Cherokee Avenue from 5th St. to 12th St.

Take a walking tour down this historic avenue and relive the past. Flyers with each home’s address, year of construction and brief historical background are available at the Bartlesville Area History Museum 401 S. Johnstone or the Bartlesville Visitor Center 201 S. Keeler. We hope that you enjoy taking a walk back in time as you explore the streets of Bartlesville and the many structures that were such an integral part of where we are today. Whether your interest lies in history or architecture, you will no doubt delight in the unique buildings and stories that make up this walking tour. Please take your time as you walk the streets of the city of legends and take in one of the unique shops or restaurants of our downtown merchants. You'll no doubt find that the colorful characters of yesterday have left a unique impression on the city of Bartlesville. Their hard work and vision is still alive, not only in the structures of our downtown streets, but also in the determination and enthusiasm of our community.
