BSO Kick’s Off 60th Season with Oklahoma Singer Songwriter, Jimmy Webb

BARTLESVILLE, OKLA—October 2, 2017--The Bartlesville Symphony Orchestra (BSO) will kick-off the 60th Diamond Anniversary Season with a Celebration of Oklahoma featuring singer-songwriter, Jimmy Webb. 

Webb, a native of Elk City, OK, will showcase some of his greatest hits including “Wichita Lineman,” “Up, Up, and Away,” “By the Time I get to Phoenix,” “Galveston,” and “MacArthur Park, and many more.  He is the only artist ever to receive Grammy Awards for music, lyrics, and orchestration as well as the youngest person ever inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.  His songs have been recorded by Elvis, Madonna, Glenn Campbell, and Art Garfunkel.  Webb has recorded music with Kanye West, Willie Nelson, and Keith Urban. 

Accompanied by Maestro Lauren Green and the Bartlesville Symphony Orchestra musicians, Mr. Webb’s performance will cross music genres and generations in what is sure to be a concert full of musical memories and great entertainment.
