Woolaroc Ranch, Museum and Wildlife Preserve

1925 Woolaroc Ranch Road

Will Rogers said, 'Of all the places in the United States, Woolaroc is the most unique.' The country estate of oil baron Frank Phillips, founder of Phillips Petroleum Company, got its name from the woods, lakes and rocks that are indigenous to the area. This rustic environment served as a one-of-a-kind entertainment venue. 'Uncle Frank' hosted U.S. Presidents, wealthy Eastern investors, dignitaries, Indians, tycoons, movie stars, lawmen and outlaws alike on his sprawling ranch southwest of Bartlesville.

Scenic Drives and Historical Adventures

From early spring to late fall, the North Road Tour features a five-mile drive through some of the most beautiful portions of the Woolaroc preserve. This tour includes a stop at an authentic restoration of an 1840s Trader's Camp where true to life mountain-men offer a glimpse of early settler living. Experience nature’s beauty while smelling the clean, fresh air of the Osage Hills and listening to the peaceful sounds of the streams running through this 3,700 acre wildlife preserve.

Fine Art and Southwest Treasures

And don’t miss the museum, which houses over 55,000 pieces including some of the Southwest’s greatest collections of western and worldwide art, relics and exhibits that tell the alluring story of the American West. An outstanding regional attraction!
