Summer History Camp

The Bartlesville Area History Museum will host two Summer History Camps this summer − one in June and the other in July.

Both camps are free to those who have completed grades 2 – 6, and will be held 1-3 p.m., June 25-27, and July 16-18.

June Camp— topic will include learning and understanding the role of local and county government in our lives and in the community.  A field trip will offer a behind- the- scenes look at the county offices, the Washington County Courthouse and a courtroom.


July Camp— will be about 1950s America and how history changed our nation, Rock and roll, space travel, civil rights, the birth of Disneyland, hula-hoops and poodle skirts— just to mention a few of the topics to learn about. Summer Camp will end with an opportunity for all attendees to experience their own ‘sock-hop.’
