Price Tower Youth Architecture Camp

Posted: June 15, 2018

Drawing thousands of visitors from around the nation and world annually as Frank Lloyd Wright’s only realized skyscraper, the Price Tower is proud to announce the return of its 2nd annual Youth Architecture Camp this summer. For students ages 8 to 12, this STEAM inspired camp offers the opportunity to learn about the foundations of architecture and design, Frank Lloyd Wright, and other concepts while creating individual and team projects of their own.

This year’s camp will offer a curriculum themed on city planning, urban parks, public art spaces, park design, and skateboard parks. While the camp is open to all area youth, students who live in Bartlesville will learn about these concepts and see them realized in our own community in this next year with the upcoming Community Green Space and Skateboard Park that will be built thanks to the passing of the parks bond in March. This educational program takes the foundations of math and science while integrating art and imagination within the Price Tower, considered one of the world’s significant architectures.

Applications will be accepted through June 29 or when max capacity is reached (40 students). Cost is $150 per camper, however, scholarships are available upon request. Applications may be picked up in person at the Price Tower or you can register online at pricetower.org. For questions, please contact Price Tower Education and Outreach Specialist, Price Connors at 918.336.4949 ext 117 or price.connors@pricetower.org.

Price Tower’s Youth Architecture Camp is made possible by the generosity of private donations and ConocoPhillips.
