OKM Announces Kid’s Programming For Both July And September

Posted: June 10, 2020

BARTLESVILLE, Okla. (June 10, 2020) – OKM Music’s mission is to make music accessible to all –
especially through youth education. Promoting music education drives OKM Music, and the upcoming festival
will deliver a fun variety of events for youth of all ages July 13 - 18, as well as during the 36th annual festival,
September 4 - 10.
“Because of COVID-19, OKM will now be offering six days of children’s activities in July (July 13-18), as
well as activities during the postponed festival in September. By practicing physical distancing and utilizing
hand sanitizing stations, each event will require an RSVP by July 1 to ensure everyone’s safety by limiting the
number of kids at each event,” says Rose Hammerschmidt, OKM’s Director of Children’s Programming.
The “Especially for Kids” July series will include story time with art projects and music, an interactive
violin event, a magic show, the annual Prince and Princess Tea, as well as a family radio bingo “song-box”
event featuring the musical magic of Disney, Pixar and more.
In addition to in-person children’s events, OKM will also be offering the option to live-stream most of the
events in July through OKM’s Facebook page: OK MOZART. On each children’s event listed, it is noted if a
live-stream option is available.
“We want to make sure parents and their kids feel safe attending our events in July and in September.
By offering events online through a live stream alternative, this gives our parents and guardians another option
to ensure their children’s safety,” says Ryan Martin, OKM’s Director of Marketing and Social Media.
All of the children’s events take place in Bartlesville with an RSVP required for every event no later than
July 1. The annual Prince and Princess Tea tickets are $10 for each child and $10 for each adult attending. To
RSVP, please visit okmmusic.org or call (918) 336-9900.
