History of micro-midget racing in Bartlesville exhibit at BAHM

Wednesday, February 21, 2018

to Friday, June 29, 2018

A new exhibit at the Bartlesville Area History Museum shows the history of micro-midget racing in Bartlesville.

The newly installed, “Micro-Midget Racing Dayze” exhibit has been installed.

The exhibit will feature a Junior Sprint quarter midget on display for the duration of the exhibit, which is on loan from local businessman, Ron Truitt.

The history of micro-midget racing launched in the U.S. in the early 1930s; however, the craze originated in the early ’50s in Bartlesville with a small group that included Paul Fox and Bob Sawyer.
