Bartlesville: Halfway between Hollywood and New York

Return to full Blog

When I was growing up in Bartlesville, I dreamed of performing on a Broadway stage or in a Hollywood feature film. I never imagined - I couldn't possibly imagine - that Broadway and Hollywood would come to Bartlesville.

Here's a great story that appeared in the Bartlesville Examiner-Enterprise today. Of note, there will be a casting call in Bartlesville for the upcoming film "August: Osage County". Adapted from Tracy Letts' Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winning play, the film tells the story of a dysfunctional Pawhuska family. I was fortunate enough to see the Broadway tour in January of 2010. It's a powerful piece of literature, at once shocking and humorous, compelling and curious. Like so many, I am looking forward to seeing "August: Osage County" brought to the screen. We feel very fortunate to be able to have a small role in the making of this film.

Here's the link to the story in today's EE. Enjoy!
